Graduated Students in Entrance

Services Provided

UB/UBMS Services

Upward Bound (UB) and Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) provide students with the tools they need to thrive academically and personally. Through individualized tutoring, classroom instruction, research opportunities, and interactive workshops, students receive the support needed to strengthen their skills in math, science, literature, composition, and foreign languages.

Our academic enrichment activities are designed to challenge students, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Students Working In Lab

We believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. Through art, music, and cultural events, students engage in experiences that nurture creativity, self-expression, and emotional well-being. These activities help develop social-emotional skills such as self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills essential for both academic and personal success.

  • Field Trips
    • Field trips offer students the chance to explore the world beyond their immediate surroundings. Whether visiting museums, science centers, or cultural events, theme parks, these experiences help broaden students' perspectives, spark curiosity, and connect classroom learning to the real world.

To inspire and inform students about their college options, we host guided tours of local universities and colleges, including CSU campuses, UC schools, and private institutions. These tours allow students to explore different campuses, interact with college staff and students, and begin envisioning themselves in a college environment.

Our 6-week Summer Enrichment Program gives students the chance to deepen their academic skills while enjoying a structured and supportive environment. The program includes breakfast and lunch, educational field trips, engaging workshops, and courses that may count toward high school or college credit. It鈥檚 a dynamic way to stay on track academically while building friendships and confidence.

Students receive personalized guidance throughout their college journey from selecting classes and preparing for standardized tests to completing college applications and financial aid forms. Our advisors work closely with students and families to ensure every step toward higher education is clear, supported, and achievable.
